You can give the thinner and dust free straw to chinchilla for feeding them. Thicker straw will harm the chinchilla. Chinchillas are mostly fond of eating straw, which is good for their health. Straw is used in preventing many types of diseases. It plays a major role in making the chinchilla’s teeth strong.
Insects are a kind of invertebrates , exoskeleton having compound eyes and three-part body which are being joined by the legs. The chinchilla consumes the insects, which enters into the cage of the chinchilla. It mostly eats the insects, which won’t bite or cause any poison to the chinchilla. Sometimes, it feeds on the crickets when it has been seen by the chinchilla. But, it won’t search the crickets to feed them as it is not considered as the major food for them.
Bugs are the small insects which suck the juice from the plants. But, it won’t bite or poison the chinchilla. So, it feeds on the bugs. Chinchillas like to feed the bugs as it provides enough strength to it.
